just wondering if anyone can help. I have been basically single for almost 6 years. Yes I have dated sporadically and even had a couple of short term, and I mean just a couple of months with one and ten months with another, but both turned out to be frogs.
Where do you look, is internet dating definitely the way to go. The only place that I go out to is gym, and the times I am there are the times when the men are working. I am lonely and ready to love and be loved. But being 40 yrs old and with a young child, who is going to want me, let alone us.
Everyone keeps saying that you will find a man when the time is right, but when will the time be right for me? And the only men I seem to attract are the losers! No seriously, the men no one else wants.

I so relate! I'd love a special person in my life but know I'll be fine what ever happens.
I've had more success on internet dating. You have to go into it with the right attitude though. Some sites are better than others and the paid sites are the best. The totally free ones are the worse (guys just looking for sex etc).
You still need to be careful on the other sites like you should only meet in a public place on at least the first few dates and make sure you read the sites safety instructions.
You'll go on some dates that are 'ok', you'll meet some arse holes and you'll meet some nice guys who aren't for you and hopefully you'll meet the right guy for you. But if you go into it with the attitude that it's all practice for when you meet the right guy you'll have fun :)
