What to do with new family changes ?

Hey everyone.
Would really appreciate some advise and a vent . Long story short my half brother (12) and sister (13) are in foster care (have been since theye were babies) and there carer no longer wants my brother , so he has come to live with us. he has autism and most days his behaviour is very difficult to Handel . He says mean things doesn't listen , calls our six year old horrible names , lies about everything, we find wee and Poo everywhere in the house . I'm at a cross road and really don't know what to do . He is on medication but it doesn't seem to help much , sorry for the novel, my family is just really struggling atm x

Get him in to see a behavioural psychologist ASAP. Long time mum of 20 year old on the spectrum. Things CAN get a hell of a lot better. Medication with ASD has limitations and depending on what specific meds he is on it will only help with certain behaviours. You really need a combined approach of behavioural strategies (which he probably missed out on in the younger years) and the current medication.

My brother has autism. He attends counselling with a professional who is trained to help people with autism. It has helped a lot!! Good luck!
