Looking for ideas to get my daughter for Xmas and 1st bday which is a week later.
I'm wanting to get some toys above her age so she can grow into them through the year.

Duplo something to hold and walk like a wagon or one of those push along trays with blocks. A small trike. Paints and butchers paper. Playdough. Balls. Wagons are serious winners
Oh and there is NOTHING cooler than Tonka. Ball bits and sand pits are awesome. So are trampolines.
Pirates are super cool!
I wouldn't bother with a baby doll at that age unless you actually fall pregnant.

You have my empathy I have 2 of them....
jigsaw puzzles (wooden where you put the piece in the hole), shape sorters, toy cars, sandpits, swing set, bikes, my boy at that age loved pushing his doll in a toy stroller so did my nephew and niece. Duplo, blocks, trucks etc, shape sorters, balls, wading pool, so many things at that age. finger paints

Duplo for sure. I've got 3 daughters 6, 4 and 2 and I only purchased it for the first time for my youngest 2nd birthday. They have had it for 9 weeks now and all 3 of them love it, they play with it daily, especially the 2yr old. It's pricey but def worth it, u need a few sets tho so that can make bigger houses etc.
Other things my 2yr old loves to play with are tea sets, kitchen food sets (we had a toy kitchen for them but it usually ends up on our lounge room floor/couch playing restaurants) dolls with prams and food to feed them, barbies (she loves barbies) puzzles, crayons/pens for drawing. Paint with water books, dress ups, costume jewellery, crowns, bags etc, ohh and Playdoh too. My other 2 kids love all of this stuff too.
