My hubby and I are going away for a quick weekend 1 nighter and I wanted to surprise him with a brazillian wax, but I dont know how soon before hand you should get one done as I dont want to be stubbly, and I dont know if by it being my first ever I need to have time to let it heal or something?

1-2 days before you leave should be fine. You may be a tad tender straight after though.
I agree 2 days is perfect for me. I have sensitive skin and often get red and blotchy :( Another small tip - ask for recommendations of salons and therapists, or when you make the appointment ask for the most experienced therapist. I get mine done at Brazillian Butterfly in Melbourne - they're really lovely girls and have a good process they follow meaning that you're in and out within 20mins!
Oh and make sure you look after yourself down there afterwards. Good luck and have fun on your weekend away :)
Sorry if this posts twice but I forgot to log in! Definitely 1-2 days will be a good time frame but make sure you exfoliate; I just use one of those mesh loofah things on rope (you know the ones that come in all the colours?) with my body wash and it keeps ingrown hairs away.
