Hi ladies,
What would you choose Vbac or c section.
Before I fall pregnant with number 2, I want to decide which way I will go.
a bit about my last pregnancy i had gestional diabetes diet controlled, i was induced at 41 and 2 days and had to have an emergency c section due to fetal distress. My doctrdoctor was not supportive the whole way through making me feel bad about having GD and the fact that i was on my own due to hubby being away, i also had no family support.
I understand every pregnancy is different and would love to try a vbac but then if i opt for a c section i know what to expect i can prepare for it and i will have a date so i can get family here to support me. Hubby may or maynot be around as is defence and you never know what will happen.
sorry if this doesn't make sense but i would love your thoughts to help me decide.

You could plan to be induced on a certain day so you have family support. I had a planned induction and so did a friend of mine for that reason.
You can't (or shouldn't) induce after c-sect. It can increase the risk of rupture.
good to know
I hope you'll choose a different caregiver this time!! There's every likelihood that you'll have GD again (some women are prone to it - it's not 100% lifestyle related) so you'll need someone supportive in your corner. If you do end up with GD you may be scheduled for a repeat c-sect automatically (you shouldn't be induced in subsequent pregnancies if you've already had a section). I would suggest interviewing potential OBs (if you have some choices) and finding someone you trust.
I had a vbac: it was induced, the baby and myself was monitored the whole time. I've heard of many successful vbacs unfortunately mine had a few complications: the placenta wouldn't detach and was stuck to the c-section scar so I ended up being shuttled off for a d and c. Ifound you end up induced I found the inducement drugs pretty harsh, but you have every chance of a successful vbac depending on your circumstances.
I would never choose a Caesarian! It actually makes me wonder why anyone would! Have a baby the way nature intended if you can, makes you much prouder and more of a mother x
