VBAC experiences in Cairns? I'm currently pregnant with my second and after a traumatic emergency c-section, I am desperate for a VBAC. I have a doctors appointment soon to discuss care so I would like to be as informed as possible!
So I'd like to hear from anyone who has had a VBAC in Cairns. Which hospital did you use? Midwife care or OB?
Do you have any helpful resources for me? Maybe you would even like to share your birth story?
Thank you so much :)
Edit: My waters broke, which kicked off my labour. Everything was progressing normally, until I developed a fever in the 25th hour and bub went into distress. I think the midwife said there is a time limit for labour when your waters break which I wasn't aware of?

I understand the fear of a traumatic birth. I had a traumatic VBAC. The thing to do before making your mind up either way is which type of birth is safest for you and baby. You don't say why you had to have an emergency c-section. So it's important to discuss with your obstetrician if a VBAC is safe or it's safest to go for a planned c-section and if the same thing is likely to happen again.
My first was an emergency csection. Second I wanted to try for a VBAC and my dr and midwives where very happy to support me but it resulted in another emergency csection. My advise would be get all the info make sure having a VBAC won't be a risk to you or the baby and most importantly be open to things changing you may end up like me and having another emergency csection.
i had my 2nd child in cairns base via vbac and the midwives were wonderful after a pretty traumatic vbac in Townsville leaving me with a fourth degree tear cairns were talking a booked c section but listened to me when I said that wasn't what I wanted and with very supportive midwifes I gave birth to a healthy baby with no complications
