Vaginal Hysterectomy

Am wondering if and lovely ladies out there have had a vaginal hysterectomy?
How they felt afterwards? Recovery time? Did they have to stay in hosp, if so how long? And any other information I may gind handy?? Im on the list for surgery within the next 3mths! Am a bit freaked out and have not got much info in reguards to it! Am having it done due to huge amounts of bleeding plus have a mild front/back prolapse..
