Update on "Breastfeeding Failure" post

Hi ladies, I'm the mother who wrote in about feeling like a "Breastfeeding Failure" because I couldn't breastfeed my son for longer than 5 weeks. I just wanted to tell you what an AMAZING thing it has been for me to read all your responses. Wow. I literally cried because your beautiful words of support were so overwhelmingly powerful.
To say thank you would not be enough, you have really moved me and I feel like a better mother after having read your responses, which ultimately makes my kids happier. So thank you from them as well, because their mum has risen above the guilty feelings and decided you were all right, I haven't "failed" my children at all. I'm now working hard to keep that mother's guilt at bay, it creeps up on me on several topics not just this one, but I am consciously working hard to remind myself there's no goodness in guilt.
I don't know how I could ever repay you for your kindness, empathy, understanding, and support. Except to say that I'm always commenting on other mothers' problems as a way to hopefully provide the same feeling of support to others as I've been lucky enough to have received.

I am so glad that posting here has helped you! Motherhood is hard on us. You're such an amazing mother to care so deeply about your children that you felt that mum-guilt <3
