I'm too embarrassed to talk to friends and family but I guess I just want to hear how to sensitively talk or get husband to fix his hygiene! He smells amazing most of the time and always showers, but when it comes to brushing his teeth and washing his hands after using toilet...omg! I feel like I have another child!
He's very very sensitive and don't know how to tell him to pick us his game.
So he very rarely brushes his teeth - as in usually once a week - yet his breath is always fine. I brush and floss religiously yet my breath can sometimes be bad but his rarely ever is. I have said "you need to brush your teeth or they'll fall out when you're older" but he just said "oh well." Yuck!!!
Second issue is after he uses the toilet he'll rinse his hands with water and no soap. I've sent him back to bathroom a few times and said "you touched the flush button, you need to wash your hands with soap!" He will go back and do it but why do I have to tell a grown man????
Guess I'm wanting solutions and a rant!!

OMG... my other half is the same... his breathe smells like dog poo though... I cant even be in the car with him sometimes it's sooooo bad. I have told him but he doesnt care :( and hand washing NEVER happens... and i can smell it on his hands sometimes... thank goodness he showers twice a day minimum...
I won't let my partner touch me until he's washed his hands. I just say "have you washed your hands?" but I only say this to him after a no.2. Generally he just forgets (just a man thing I guess). He goes back and washes his hands. I just remind him of the time our daughter and I got gastro at the fruit market cause some dirty bugger hadn't washed their hands then sampled the same fruit we sampled. That usually gets him thinking.
For your partners teeth, I had to tell my partner the importance of oral hygiene to being the key to our whole body health. I told him that poor hygiene can lead to rotten teeth which in turn can lead to kidney and heart disease. As he knew someone with these issues already, he really started taking care of his teeth religiously. Hope this helps.
