Hello IM's just hoping I could get some advice on the right choice to make I appreciate any advice. I'm in my 30's I have 3 children and I 100% do not want any more (both my husband and I) is it better to have tubes tied or a hysterectomy? Or is a hysterectomy more for medical reasons

A hysterectomy is for medical issues. Tube tying is loosing popularity now that the Mirena is available. The Mirena can be reversed if you do for some unforeseen reason change your mind. Plus tube tying has some side effects like heavier periods etc. where as Mirena has more of a chance of controlling periods. No doctor will do a hysterectomy without a very good medical reason.
Just to add tube tying, like any form of contraceptive is not 100% effective. You increase your risks of ectopic pregnancy.
I'd also look at vasectomy for your partner as that has less risks than tubal ligation.
