TTC/The Waiting Game

TTC/The Waiting Game

Hi sisters!

A light hearted question for your Thursday afternoon. :-)

Hubby and I are into month 2 of trying for our first baby. This baby has been a long time coming and we're both ripping our hair out while playing the waiting game. Part of me wants to know now whereas the other part of me is thinking that if I don't know, then I don't have to keep it a secret.

I swear my body is playing tricks on me! Last month my boobs were excruciatingly sore for most of the month (only for Aunt Flo to arrive) but this month, a week from Aunt Flo, they aren't sore AT ALL! (Not sure if I'm happy or not?? Lol)

So I guess this is a 3 part question;
1) What was your first symptom and when did you feel/not feel it?
2) How did you stop yourself going crazy with anticipation?
3) How the bloody hell did you keep it a secret for sooooo long?

Looking forward to some hilarious answers. :-D

I didn't have to wait it was a total accident! Also in those days finding out early was around 8 weeks! I didn't bother keeping I could never really understand the 'don't tell incase you miscarry' thing. It's not a failure to miscarry, it's sad and nobody should have to pretend it didn't happen.
First signs of pregnancy way vomiting :)

Oooh. How exciting. We are about to start trying for number two and I cannot wait! It's such an exciting time. Make sure you enjoy all the nights of full sleep. Luckily we get them most nights, except last night wasn't one of them with my bubs waking 7times!!

So my responses are:
1. Missed period and then sore boobs.
2. Still went crazy with anticipation and I suspect it will be the same this time. Perhaps I'll focus more on getting everything setup prior to baby like do all the filing and clean up the house of unnecessary items etc.
3. And we told some people before the 3 months! So bad but we couldn't help ourselves and plus if something did happen we would want support.
Best of luck! I hope you have some good news soon!

The wait for me was horrible, my first symptoms were dizzy spells and a funny taste in my mouth. I never got sore boobs with my 3 pregnancies. With my 3rd I tested about 4 days before my period was due and got an extreamly faint positive home test. I waiting a week and then went and had blood tests done. When it as confirmed we only told our parents & siblings and our closest friends. We didn't want to broad cast it to the world just in case something went wrong.

Good luck :-) keep us posted on your results ;-)
