I am currently breastfeeding my 9 month old and my period has just returned. I struggled to conceive him and don't remember the last time I had a period that wasn't induced by Provera. I'm really hoping that this means I can conceive another baby naturally. Has anyone had any success in conceiving while breastfeeding?

My first child took 5 years. My next two were while I was beast feeding so 3 children in 5 years.

Yes, I was 5 months pregnant with my second baby and wondering why I was so tired! My first was only 7 months old! My period had not returned and I was complacently believing that you didn't get pregnant while breast feeding!
I fell pregnant with my 2nd whilst breast feeding, though he was 2. My obstetrician told me breast feeding can only be like a contraceptive if done 4hrly, pretty much on the dot, otherwise is not really effective as such. Good luck! X
