If you have had quite a few miscarriages its probably best to speak to the doctor to find out why you are. It could be a very simple fix to get you that baby.

If you've had 2 or more miscarriages I highly recommend seeing a fertility specialist, don't put it off.

Make sure you are taking folic acid and just generally look after yourself, gentle exercise, eat well and steer away from 'diet' products, try to de stress and get quality sleep. Limit alcohol and give up smoking if your a smoker.

But seriously after 6 years of trying and many many miscarriages I'm kicking myself for not seeing a specialist at the beginning, if you really want a baby see someone to work out what is going on.

Its such a painful journey I know. It took us a long time too and miscarriage is so heartbreaking. I was told it takes 18 months for the pill to really be out of your system and your cycles to normalise. Giving up alcohol is a big help. Go and see a specialist if it has been a long time. Charting your cycles so you give yourself the best chance of timing it right is a good idea, but try not to obsess :). I took fish oil and vitex chaste berry and I am not sure if it was a coincidence but it worked. Good luck.

(I'm not trying to worry you unnecessarily but we found out the hard way that we carry a genetic disease and this was probably a big part of our miscarriage problems, it would be wrong of me not to try and make people aware and save them the heartache we went through losing our first child. You can both be tested for several common things quite easily through a referral from a GP.)
