Hi I have a question for the imperfect mums
My son currently attends swimming lessons with a gorgeous little boy who has a deformed face. My son treats this little boy as he would any other friend. He knows we don't judge any one based on their looks ect
My question is he asked me why he's face looks like it does and I want to explain it the best and most loving way possible without feeling like I'm single the boy out etc he's only 5 so I'm asking how and what is the best way to word questions like this.
I'm a mother that if my child ever bullied another child I would work out why and make sure it never happend again as I do not like a bully!

I would explain that everyone is different, some people are really smart, some people have brown hair, some people are born without an arm or a leg, some people can't talk very well and that's just the way the world works. Anything more than that and you are probably getting into a biology lesson that would go totally over his head.
