Toilet training issues - laughs/smiles when wets or soils.

Please help. My nephew who will be 4 in November is being really difficult when it comes to toilet training. He KNOWS how to use the toilet and has done for almost a year now. The problem is, he will wet his pants or soil them and when anyone acknowledges his accidents he will simply smile or laugh. No amount of discipline seems to work with him. Are there any another mums out there who have the same problem with their child not caring if they are wet or soiled? Have you been there? How did you get your child to use the toilet EVERY time?

Take him to the toilet every hour, if he wees then give him a sticker/ tiny toy/ lolly whatever it is that gets him excited. If he goes without being taken throw a mini party!!! If he wets his pants don't say anything to him but give him clean clothes so he can change himself (don't praise for changing pants). He is enjoying the attention he is getting for wetting his pants and the above should turn it around. Sometimes when you change what your doing the child will try and get you to give up by increasing the pant wetting but with consistency it should improve.
