I've been trying to toilet train my 2.5yr old DD for the last month. She's been doing her poo's in the toilet every day since we started without hesitation. She tells me she needs to do a wee, so I get her up on the toilet and she does a poo. I'm happy with that, she now seems to understand its a poo but still calls it a wee at the start but corrects herself. But its the wee's that are concerning me. She doesn't seem to know when she needs to do a wee and will just wet her knickers. I've tried getting her to go to the toilet every 30mins, 1hr (tried lots of different timings), reward charts/food to no avail. Sometimes just after a little wee in the toilet/potty she'll wet her knickers 10mins later. I'm just about to pull my hair out. She just doesn't seem to understand the whole concept at all, but obviously does as she know when to poo. Her older sister trained in 3days (at 2.5yrs) with hardly any accidents. People tell me the 2nd child should be much easier but she seems 100 times worse.
Just wondering if there something else I could try or new tricks. I'd prefer not the use lollies/chocolate as treats, as I don't keep that kind of food in my house.

You could try a pants alarm. You attach it to the nickers and it sets of an alarm at the first few drops when you race her to the toilet. It's probably worth organising an assessment by a professional in the mean time. Getting in to see someone can take ages and you can always cancel appointments if she gets it.
