Toddler not eating

hi there fellow ims. My little guys is nearly 20 months old and barely eats some days he will snack but over the last 2 weeks I have noticed he's eating less and less to the point that yesterday he only ate 3 or 4 "bites" of food. Today he has had a little more but I worry he's not getting what he needs to grow and I think it might be time to start giving him toddler formula

Is he getting milk, sometimes they fill up on milk and have no room left for food. I look at food intake on a 3day basis, not a single day basis as some days I know I don't feel like eating as much.

My almost 20mth old has refused dinner some nights because its not what she likes, but I'm not a restaurant and I don't pander to that. So when she doesn't eat she doesn't get her milk after dinner. Its a big tantrum as her older sisters will get it but she can't. she gets over it pretty quick tho. She understands me very well and knows she's supposed to eat dinner but doesn't want to. She only gets milk after lunch and dinner and if she doesn't eat either of them, then no milk. She's a garbo for yummy foods, cakes biscuits but is very fussy with the good stuff so I've had to play hard ball with her.

Re: toddler milk, I've heard its full of sugar so its not something I would personally do.

It's quite common for kids to start loosing interest in food at this age. They just want to be moving and playing. Make sure you are tracking height and weight in your blue book as long as that looks good don't stress.
It's a very common complaint around this age. Some kids do better with lots of healthy snacks they can hold and eat while they are moving at this age.

I have a little boy around the same age and he is the same. He will barely eat anything and if I try to feed him his food then he spits it back out at me. I give him the same as the rest of us are having for tea and he will sit there and pick at it. Sometimes he will eat it sometimes not.
But I try not to worry to much as my older kids were the same at the age and they are all healthy and fine, it's just a stage, they will get through it. I tried the toddler milk with my third child and it didn't make a lot of difference

Is he teething maybe? They can lose their appetite when teething or sick. And like another poster said they do fill up on milk if he is having that. One thing I found helped with my boy is having a variety of foods all day he was a grazer and just liked eating little bits all day long rather than 3 main meals. Worked for us :)
