Thermomix verse cheaper options

Hi all, I Went to a thermomix demo today and love the idea behind them just not sold on the price. My question is are the cheaper versions any good? How do they stack up against the thermomix? And really how often do you use your thermomix?

I have looked into this so many times. I love the idea of a multi cooker, I don't love the price lol
There are some differences between the bellini and the thermo. The bellini seems to work well for my friends who went in that direction.
I decided not to spend the money on either for these reasons
1. I am never ever going to want to mill my own flour or make butter lol
2. I really enjoy cooking, the cutting, the stirring etc and it's something we do as a family
3. If I'm in a hurry I already have a food processor which I don't use more than once a year lol
4. The bowl isn't very big and I live with big burly men with huge appetites who eat enough to feed an army!
So in the end it would be another very expensive gadget for us. But my friends who have them LOVE them.

I love my thermomix. I wouldn't swap it for anything. I use every day usually multiple times a day. It's comvenient.
The price yes was a lot to spend. But I now save money on my grocery bill so I'm happy

I have had my thermomix for 3 months now and I love it! Before owning my thermomix I was never one to bake from scratch and I loathed cooking dinner each night, my friends always used to laugh at me because I was always that person who never knew how to make anything from scratch and always cooked from a packet or a jar. Since owning my thermomix I cook everything from scratch and bake so many goodies for my kids to take to school. Initially I couldn't justify the money but now that I've taken the plunge and I have it I don't regret it for one second. I used to make my husband 4 sandwiches and my 2 schools aged kids 1 sandwich per day with cold meat etc it used to cost me a fortune, now I make my dough from scratch it takes 6 minutes in the thermomix to knead and I make them a variety of bread scrolls and just making them alone saves me about $30 per week. I now make my own spreadable butter 600ml of pure cream gets me about 1lt of butter. That's just a couple of things off the top of my head. Aside from all of that making things from scratch has enabled me to shed some weight and feed my family preservative & additive free food. In my opinion you can't put a price on that. Good luck with your decision.
