Teething and bottles

Can anyone offer me any advice on my baby's feeding? He's 5.5 months old and he's getting his fifth (yes, fifth, the poor little munchkin) tooth. He screams and cries out in pain when we try to feed him because of his teeth (the only bottle he will remotely take are the closer to nature ones). He's generally a very happy baby other than that. We've had to give solids earlier than we wanted just to get something in to him. I've tried teething gel before feeds, putting the teat of the bottle in the fridge to cool it down, and offering other teething remedies before feeding him, but he just doesn't want to. He will go from 10pm without a feed and still cry at 8am when were trying to give him a bottle. Has anyone got ideas on how i can help him?
