Tackling young kids n toddlers

Just wondering what is a good book that I could have a read of about ways of tackling 6 yrs and younger. My kids are pretty good but they go through stages of just saying no to us and especially with the dad. Some days they are good. Do as asked or do it without being asked then others days not. Which they are kids and that is expected but was interested if there is a different way or doing things.
I do understand they are kids n they will have good n bad days.
Just any names of good books is all I'm asking. :)
