Suspected Domestic violence in neighbour

I really don't know my neighbours that well (elderly husband wife and their son) but it's quiet clear that the elderly lady has dementia (or something similar). There has always been a lot of yelling but lately it's gotten a lot worse. Just this morning I heard the husband (I think) yelling at the wife telling her to get the f@#k out of my room you f@#king bitch, hearing stuff like this is becoming more and more common, my husband often hears it at 5am in the morning when he gets up for work too, I don know that it's physical but the emotional side is bad enough, I feel for this lady as I know she's vulnerable. Would you report it or stay out if it? Who do you report it too? Thanks

There is a hotline for elderly abuse to report it. Are you sure it's the husband and not the son? Depending how old he is it sounds more like her son than her husband. In all honesty I wouldn't stay out of it, I would invite her over for tea and coffee and see how she's going, she may have dementia but there will be certain things that she knows about. Don't shy away from it, if its nothing that's the best outcome but if its something and you didn't report it how would that feel for both you and her? Just google the elder abuse hotline for your state and it will come up with the number, at my doctors to I have also seem pamphlets with the number on it to.

It may be the son being abusive, but as you don't know a phonecall to elder abuse hotline might be the way to go.
