spending less at the shops

I'm looking for some easy ways to save some $$ at the grocery store. I stick to my shopping list and meal plan. have any other mums found ways to save at the store?

I try and buy cheaper cuts of meat and make meals that spread rather than dishes that require one cut each. Like some recipes require one chicken breast per person which is really expensive! Also I buy meat that's marked down when I can and freeze for use later. I've experimented with cheaper brands of dried goods etc some I've kept using because they are just as nice as the brands I was originally using but others were abandoned as not worth the savings.

If u get catalogs each week always go through and check what's on special try and buy bulk while on special, especially things that aren't going to go out of date. Also try using cheaper cuts of meat hubby hates rump steak cos it's so tough but if u buy a cheap marinade and marinade it for 24 hrs it makes it extremely tender and just as nice as scotch.

Delivery works well to help you stay on budget. Aldi is great to get value for money. I buy bulk meat and split up and freeze. Buy toilet paper, cleaning goods, toiletry items, washing powder at kmart or aldi. And get party goods, lollies, choc and office supplies at reject shop etc.

I buy at Aldi which saves quite a bit & also buy meat from our local butcher. Has been working out quite well cost wise. Also will start buying fruit & veg once our local farmers markets start up this weekend. Have a costco membership now so will use that too to buy in bulk keeping costs down in the long run

Online delivery is great for sticking to a budget. We also get a delivery of Homefresh Organics fruit and vegetables which is great value. We spend $110 a week at Coles online and $40 a week on a Homefresh box.
