Yep I'd say normal that early on but you may need to master the settings on your breast pump. Also some women have a strong letdown which can be painful.
I've been breastfeeding for 18months and the only time since my nipples toughened up that I've had sore nipples is since my period returned, now my nipples are sore/sensitive from ovulation to when my period ends.. . So about half the time!

They will toughen up over time. That sounds bad I know, but they don't actually go tough.... You get used to it. Your nipples have not done this before so they are extra sensitive.
Take care of them, use a cream so they don't crack.
But don't give up... Sounds like you're doing an amazing job.
If your gut tells you you need to seek help then do... Make sure bubba is latching on properly etc. there is heaps of support through breast feeding association, 24 hours a day. Just call them.
I fed all 5 of mine for 12 months each.

Very normal, like the other ladies have said your nipples get used to it. Both you and your baby are learning something new so give yourself and your boobs time to adjust and it does take time ;-) expressing too can be a but tricky but A good thing to be able to do ;-) take care and congratulations on your baby xxx
