Sore and yucky rash

Sore and yucky rash

I am quite overweight (please no judging, I'm on weight watchers and fixing this), and because of this and the hot weather I'm getting sweat rashes under my boobs, under my stomach, between my legs. I also get rubbing between my legs where the elastic on my underpants sits.

What can I do about this? I have tried curash powder, johnson's powder with vitamin e and cornstarch, using nappy rash cream, using excema cream, nothing is helping. Any other ideas before I head to the doctor?

I used to get the rash under the boobs! Tried everything you can buy over the counter but nothing worked! Went to the doc got cream on a script and it cleared it right up! My advice is just go straight to the doc :)

Hi, have you tried Neat 3b cream? You can buy it from the chemist, it is a barrier cream, so stops the chaffing and stops the area from becoming red raw. I've used it between my legs before and loved it. It costs about $20 - $25 from memory. If you are on a budget you could try some roll on deodorant, that works much the same way. It wouldn't hurt to see the doctor, he may suggest a different product but I would try the neat 3b first. If it is itching I would see the doc to rule out any fungal infection. Good luck on your weight loss journey and good on you for making the change :) wish you all the best

I find that Bepanthon (nappy rash barrier cream) works as a preventative or it's not too far entrenched. Also making sure my clothes especially my bra doesn't stay damp from sweat. On a very hot day that can mean changing underwear and bra a few times a day. Also I find certain bras are more likely to set it off as they don't fit perfectly.

You should head to the doctor to make sure it isn't fungal and you may also be able to get some steroid cream to heal it up quicker then use nappy rash cream or powder as a preventative. Also making sure you bra is fitting right, if I have any on that are to small I itch like crazy. Try boy leg underwear to, I always find it more comfortable.

Use a sensitive antiperspirant spray to prevent it from rubbing anymore. I find if I stop the sweating in the first place it clears up.
