Has any single parent successfully applied for a passport for their child without the other parent's consent (known as special circumstances with the Passport office) or through court? I'm looking for time it took, success rate, your circumstances and anything I should know about either process.

I applied for one and got it very easily. Took 3 weeks total from application.
I had to fill in the form stating that I had no contact from him, no child support either.
Just got it sighted at the passport office and they sent it off.
I think what made it easier for me is I went to have her name changed to mine through the courts.
