Sibling fighting

hi IM's, I have a 6 year old son and an 8 year old daughter, who's constant fighting has escalated to every morning and every afternoon. It's never over anything serious, things like who had the iPad first, she's pulling a face at me, etc. So then they hit each other, and nothing I say ever stops them! My husband and I are at our wits end with how to help them get along, any tips please?

I'd start with organising them both play dates elsewhere at least once a week. The boy one night, the girl the other. It's hard to fight with someone who isn't there.

If they can't share regardless of what it is it becomes mine since they weren't mature enough to negotiate it if they fight regardless of who did what they get sent to their rooms can't go out lose their electronics and freedoms until they earn them back......periodically they need to be reminded how mum does things but it works just have to be consistent.....

The whole nose to nose screaming match happened ONCE between the two eldest....one hand behind each head and they discovered gentlely what head to head really means and their youngest sister when she starts it gets a reminder from her older sister that if she tried it mum will knock their heads together.....literally.
