I have found a small lump in my left armpit. No pain, no other lumps. There is no history of breast cancer in my family. Should i wait a couple of weeks to see if it goes away or should i go to the doctors asap?

Make an appointment now, get in as quickly as possible. I hope it's just nothing but always better to be safe then sorry right.

The sooner you get it checked out, the sooner you can a) have the peace of mind that it was nothing or b) know what your dealing with. And IF it's cancerous, the sooner you treat it, the better. There is NOTHING to be gained by waiting.
So Please - get it checked out now. Don't wait anymore.
Probably just an infection in your lymph gland. But get it looked at to be safe.
