Right here, right now is what's important.

I received news today of a business friend that past away in January after only finding out 5 weeks earlier she had cancer. She was a single mum bringing up 2 boys on her own.

Although I wasn't good close friends with this women l felt like l lost a member of my family. This women had a lease on life that l had never come across before, she was loud, full of life & never let anything upset her. She had it tough raising her boys & working full time, but she once told me that she lives in the moment & doesn't worry about what happened yesterday & will deal with tomorrow when it comes. It didn't matter how busy or how crazy her day was she would always stop & chat till l was the one ready to leave.

We all have our dramas that seem to at times consume us. Fighting with ex's, financial struggles, etc... But l have realised today that it's time to stand still & smell the roses. Bugger the house work, kids screaming for dinner... Make them a snack & relax & take your time to cook dinner. No more rushing around.... Your late your late. For once instead of driving the car to the supermarket, walk the dog & let the kids play in the park. Life can be taken away in a second, time to let go, be the nice once. Everything isn't a competition to win & who cares if the ex wins a round. Happiness & peacefulness is so much more important. Just something to think about....

I came to the same realisation a couple of months ago.
My dad also died of cancer after only a 6 week battle.
He thought he had a cold and a ache in his shoulder, by the time they found it, it was too late.
He worked his butt off his entire life working away for weeks at a time, home (but still at work) for a few days and gone again, we were used to him never being home, people who didn't know us thought we didn't have a dad.
We are grown and now live in another state we planned a trip to the reef as a big family holiday, but he became sick that week.
He never got to retire and enjoy his hard work, or really even live in the house he worked so hard to pay for.
He didn't make it to 60years old.

Life is so precious, enjoy it!
