Renting single mother

How have single mothers been able to rent whom don't work? Cheap housing where I am at the moment but currently not working but will be able to afford on my benefits.

trying to understand the question.
its about setting a budget and sticking to it, saving money any which way you can, making cheap meals and not wasting food, and always living within your means. I am a single mum who doesnt work and the pension quiet literally is meant to support you from week to week, but if your really good with it sometimes you will have money left over.

Rentals you apply for have to total not more than 1/3 of your income for a real estate agent to approve you. Also you will get rent assistance so make sure you take that into account. The hardest part is saving for the bond. Real estate agents don't care where the money comes from just that you can pay.

ive been renting for 16 years, half of that time i wasnt working. people do give you a go ..its hard on your own with kids on benefits but definetly doable. just budget and bulk /cheap buy when grocery shopping etc you just have to keep trying. 8 years ago.. i became a single mum n lost my job. ive rented four houses through the real estate over the years being a single sahm. Just show them your income.. apply for the cheapest houses and have the rent deducted from ur account every fortnight. and if ur eligible, housing helps with the bond.... they usually pay 70% of it but now i think you have to pay housing back like $20 a week or something.

I've been single mum with 3 kids for 3 years now. Call housing trust about your bond(don't worry) they will cover RIA too. But I hope you have family that can help you Hun. We can barely survive on the pension.. Can't afford a life but we are still happier than with the grumpy daddy(ex). I'm filing for bankruptcy next week. It's hard babe. Reach out to charities when you need help. Stay strong xo
