rental up for sale can they touch your stuff?

My rental has just been put up for sale. The realestate came today to take photos, and while they were pleasant enough the photographer was moving my stuff around. I was standing right there and I was asking her would u like me to move this or this. she started moving things away, unplugged several items without asking. She did put some things back but I was under the impression they weren't allowed to touch your things. What really pissed me off was I went to take a shower tonight and noticed they had removed all of my and kids toiletries from the window sill.
Can they really do that?
While I'm having a rant I didn't even get asked if it was ok to photograph my stuff I got told they were coming Wednesday
I think their supposed to get written consent but they havnt.
If I raise my concerns I don't want it to turn nasty.
What can I do??

Before raising it with your land lord ring you local tenants association and make a general enquiry about your rights. When my place was put on the market in SA I didn't sign anything. They did take photos and didn't touch anything but it looked like one of those show units anyway. The photographer may not have known you were not the owner.
Personally it wouldn't have upset me that they moved a couple of things. I'd be more concerned about open inspections and be focused on the inconvenience of that.

Honestly, if things aren't broken or taken, let it go.
there isnt a point in starting problems.
it sucks, but its easier to just be quiet.

They are not allowed to photograph with out your concent. While I believe it is rude to touch someone else's stuff, I think you should just (sorry if you have frozen obsessed children like myself and it gets stuck in your head) let it go. When they do inspections just chuck everything away and hide anything of value, that way no one is touching anything. Call up the tenancy board because I'm in qld and stating what the laws are in qld. Some agents will take no protest as a sign of "yes photos are fine" so it is always best to know your rights as a tenant before these things happen

They moved everything off our kitchen bench and even re made my sons bed lol. Its so the photos look more appealing. I guess I just didn't really find it a big deal
