Hi all, I'm a ftm at 30 weeks and 2 days with a little boy! For the past 2-3 days I've noticed my feet and ankles swelling, especially the right one. My vision keeps randomly going blurry...although I had this when I was little but not half as frequently. I just lost part of my mucous plug (no blood) and my urine has been a yellowy colour, but no bad smell and not very frequently. As of this afternoon I have been getting sharp pain and pressure like cramping on and off (every 10 minutes or so) in my upper abdomen. Little man arms alright and is one very, super active baby. I wanted to get people's opinions before I rush to the midwife as I live an hour from hospital.

Ring the hospital but the blurry vision can be a sign of high blood pressure. Don't rely on a website for emergency information
Yes please go in, you could be developing pre-eclampsia with the swelling and blurry vision can be a sign of high blood pressure. I would go in as soon as you can. Hospitals are used to pregnant ladies going in all the time with worries, better to be safe than sorry
Blurry vision can also be a symptom of gestational diabetes
Pre eclampsia. See the doc asap!
you need to see a Dr asap, not only for your blood pressure but you need a vaginal swab as you my have an infection.
call the hospital so they know you are coming. better to have some peace of mind.

Go to the hospital and get them to check for pre-eclampsia! I had it and it can be very very dangerous! I was 38 weeks and and I terrible swelling and cramping! I had been to the hospital numerous times in the weeks before hand for concerns and everything was fine. On the day everything was NOT fine, I had terrible cramping. I was at my mums and she was looking at me with that concerned mum look so I rang the doctors clinic to speak to my OB, however she was seeing a patient so they put me onto a lady who was NOT qualified to give any health advise. (being really young at the time they probably thought I was being silly) she reassured me that the baby had probably just moved into an awkward position and was putting pressure on my liver... anyway half an hour later I burst into tears and said ;mum something just isnt right!'' So she called back and demanded to speak to my OB, she mentioned my symptoms and The OB demanded I get the the hospital with my bags packed immediately! '15 minutes later I was getting poked and prodded with needles and given medicines and had a drip attached and was getting put in the back of an ambulance to be rushed to a city hospital. I didn't realize the severity at the time But was later told, if I had left it another night the chances of me having stroke were very high and I could of lost my baby! Listen to your instincts! Thank goodness I did. And you could imagine how FURIOUS my mum was at the doctors clinic staff for trying to brush me off!
