A little back story..
I'm 21 years old have a gorgeous 5 year old daughter, have been with my current partner for almost 2 years. I'm currently about to begin court proceedings for custody of my daughter.
But recently I have found out my partner and I are surprisingly 6 weeks pregnant. It was quite a shock as we always practiced safe sex. But we are busting with excitement nonetheless. My partners first child and my second. We are so excited. We have told our closest friends, who were all also happy for us. Now comes the time of tackling telling my parents. I know how they will react. Will be in a lot of shock and my mum will make no secret of her disapproval. I think I'm looking for ideas which I could tell my mum, and when I should tell her? I am dreading telling her even thou it doesn't change my feelings at all!
And I'm also after some unique ways of announcing to Facebook friends?
Thank you in advance !

Maybe ask your mum out for coffee or lunch & break the news to her. Explain how your so excited & your feelings will not be changing , she will just have to accept the fact your are expecting & your happy.
As for FB announcements here's some ideas-
Make up a sign for Ur daughter saying something like " promoted to big sister" or get a photo of u your partner and daughter sticking out Ur bellys with writing on each yours saying the due date, Ur daughters saying something like orange juice and your partners saying beer I've seen this done it's a funny way of announcing.
U could hold up a pair of booties & a due date sign
A cute way of announcing on Facebook
Wrap Ur belly with ribbon with a tag saying "
Do not open till *due date *
So example-
Do not open till 6th June 2014
I had my DD#1 at 19 and my mum was very disapproving!! She even went as far as to tell me she would pay for my termination....
When DD was 7 months I fell pregnant with DD#2 and I thought she would hit the roof again! So I sent her a text with a picture of my DD1 holding a positive HPT that said 'Caila is super excited to be a big sister'
My mum was a lot more excited second time around! You might be surprised !
I was in the same position as you are. I had been separated from my ex-husband for roughly 8 months and was in a new loving relationship with another man when i found out i was pregnant with #2. I was shocked as ex and I had been trying for 18 months to conceive and nothing, I had been told i was not ovulating and would need medical assistance to conceive.
I was so worried about telling my father as I am not yet divorced from my ex husband, I was expecting a huge disappointment speech and possibly loss of contact/relationship between us... but to my shock he was super supportive. My new partner is a better man than my ex was and everyone can see how much healthier this relationship is compared to my original marriage.
I think honesty is always best, I know my father appreciated that I had the decency to tell him in person, face-face and with my new partner there with me to show a united front and how much we are happy about this little blessing.
Best of luck
