I am 34 + 4 weeks pregnant with my second baby (although it all feels new again!!)
The last two days I have had sharp pains in my cervix and vigina, some back pain, hip pain and today a lot of tightening in my stomach and a lot of loose bowel movements. I have called my midwives yesterday and they said to have a warm shower or bath to try and relieve some pain.
I'm wondering if any mums out there have any advice or think I may be in the early stages of labour? I'm just feeling quite scared and would love to hear your experiences or what any of you think is going on?

Similar happened to me last week, I'm 30 weeks. I went to Dr who sent me in for tests at hospital. All tests came back clear n they made sure I wasn't dilating. They have put me on bed rest.
I had small bleed a day before the pain started...
they said its because of the pressure on my cervix n me doing too much n because I have a low lying placenta. So I have a few issues.
I think a trip to Dr is needed needed to make sure everything is ok.
I'd be calling the midwives to go in and get checked if I were you. The symptoms you describe (particularly the diarrhea) is not part of prelabour but part of actual labour...
I too would head to a doctor and be checked over. They should check to see if you are in labour.
If a warm bath or shower doesnt relieve the pain and the loose bowels are not the normal for you I woukd definitely be heading to your local maternity ward.
Hi these, I am just back from hospital after experiencing everything you have just said. They can do a test to see if you are in pre term labor, which I was. I am 32 weeks so was given lots of meds to stop labour and baby was given steroid injections just in case. It has worked for me so def get yourself down there to get checked out. Take care x
