pre labour??

pre labour??

Hi ladies.
Since Saturday I have been having regular timetable contractions starting from 30mins apart and working there way to about 7mins apart then stopping. Then starting again. I am exhausted, in pain and quite frankly pretty over it now ha!
This is my second child but the first I had a c section so have never actually experienced "labour"
I am nearly 37 weeks pregnant, set to have a VBAC, have been losing my mucus plug the last few days and sorry for tmi but have had wet underwear the last couple of days and what I felt was a gush of clear fluid!? Does this all sound like pretty normal stuff and just my body gearing up for labour or could I be in the early stages of "real labour"??
I know already I should go and get checked out or at least phone the midwives to see weather they think I should come in but thought I would ask others for advice and go from there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated xx

If you are loosing amniotic fluid you need to go in to the hospital. Now.

Definitely go to the hospital. If your leaking fluid, you run the risk of infection if you haven't delivered within 24hrs and will probably need antibiotics. This happened to me and if my contractions didn't ramp up they were going to induce me the next morning. Good luck x

Yep, ring the hospital now and tell them, they will test the leaking waters to see if it's amniotic fluid. You are at risk of infection if it's been more than 24 hrs.
I was in 'pre labour' for 3 days before I finally gave birth. Get as much sleep as you can because I didn't and I was exhausted by the time I gave birth and needed a vaccum extraction. My contractions were going between 30mins to 8mins. When I went into hospital on the third night they were 7mins apart and I was 3-4cm dilated and I was able to get some pain relief. Definitely call the midwife now

Def sounds like labor n clear fluid is ur water leaking or breaking. U need to go straight in to hospital and demand to be checked.

Go to the hospital right now. Sounds very much like your waters have broken.

Thanks everyone. This was my post. I went to the hospital, my waters haven't gone but I am in early labour as I am 36 weeks they gave me a sedative and was allowed to go home but straight back if my contractions become 5 mins apart again. I am exhausted and the contractions are starting to get painful so it won't be long now, really hoping we have our little boy here by Christmas :-))
