Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before?
I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with babe number two and have been diagnosed with a grade 4 placenta previa and also multiple venous lakes (pools or maternal blood) across the placenta. I had a significant bleed at 20 weeks, and after a week in hospital was sent home to rest until the baby is viable (24+weeks). Medical teams have indicated its likely I could end up doing a long stint in hospital if bleeding of any kind continues past 24 weeks (when they will have two patients to consider rather than just one). I have everything crossed in hope to avoid delivery before 30 weeks!
I'm not really sure what my question is - maybe I'm more just looking for other peoples experiences/positive outcome stories? I'm preparing myself for a quite premature baby, and certainly a caesar, but beyond that would love any advice from those who have personally experienced a similar scenario.
Also, any tips anyone might have for managing a long hospital stay (and even just the at-home bed rest) while trying to keep life as normal as possible for my 18 month old, would be gratefully received.
Thanks so much.
