How often would you think it's acceptable for a husband or partner to go out drinking (usually to excess) with his mates. With a young baby and him working FIFO? I want to make sure I'm not overreacting?

I would think once every 6 months if you have a baby is plenty!
Once the kids get older and sleeping through etc then probably a little more often. But as far as I'm concerned if you make a baby your priority should be looking after the baby and the mother.
If it was just a quick drink (an hour) then it would be more reasonable to do it a bit more often.
Once a month?
Once every now and then, I'd say if there was an occasion e.g.. bucks night etc. I don't feel it is acceptable for any parent to be put late and/or coming home outwardly drunk on a regular basis. I don't think his priorities are right here.
My partner has a thing that if the day is Friday then it's parrttayy time and it is shit. He use to go out every weekend until like 4 or maybe not come home at all. When he stays home he still has to drink most weekends or his very edgy. What is with the culture of today's men. I don't put up with it anymore I think once a month is pretty fair. My partner is 30 now but if he had his way would still act like a man child. I use to put up with it but now I'd just close the door behind him.
