My two year old has become very possessive over toys now my eight month old has become interested in toys. They have their own toys but number 1 won't let number 2 touch, get near or even look at anything of their's. Last night number 2 was playing with a pipe cleaner (with my husband sitting right near and watching them) and number 1 had a fit and snatched it off number 2.
We have tried to get number 1 to share by asking nicely, letting number 1 play with number 2 toys but it's just not working. It really upsets number 2 when number 1 takes the toys away. Please help with ideas.

They don't do sharing. Don't understand the concept until later. I used to get mine to choose something they will give the baby so they can take what they want from the baby. Focus more on not snatching etC than the idea of sharing. They do this pretty happily and then they know what to do they will happily do that instead of having tanties.
