Make sure your kids are doing all the jobs they can. Even preschoolers can put there dishes in the sink, hang there towels up, and put dirty clothes in the washing basket.
The primary ages kids should be able to pick out there own clothes (especially if they are in uniforms). They should also be able to pack there own school bags.
It's much faster to supervise 4 kids doing there jobs than it is to do all the jobs yourself.
You want to set it up so that any jobs you do you do between getting home from work and when the kids need to get ready for school. That way when you get hem from drop off yob are straight to bed. Consider using before and after school care to extend your sleep time. Dropping the kids at school at 8am could give you 7hrs sleep versus 6.
Also, when you get home after your 5.00 shift, DONT sleep!! arrange the kids things, clean house, pack lunches, shower spend time with partner etc. then once kids are at school, you won't have anything left to do but sleep. Maybe like the other poster suggested, do afternoon school care? that way you get a few more hours sleep, and maybe partner (if you have one) can then pickup or you can, and do kids dinners, baths and bed and spend an hour or two before leaving for work to spend with just you, or just you and partner.
