Natural final stage of labour?

Looking for thoughts on a natural passing of the placenta vs chemical passing with the needle?

I did natural and it came within 20 minutes after baby. My thoughts were what's the point in extra needle if I can do it by myself.
I was very firm in voicing that too.

if u need intervention they give u like an hour before they strongly encourage help.

I've had 3 babies, last was the only one where I did the "natural" passing...give me the needle any time & I hate needles :). I found the "natural" was alot more work & almost ended up in emergency surgery due to complications (placenta tore in 2 & part got stuck).
that's just my experience but...good luck

Reading the other answers I'm feeling very lucky. I did a natural passing, it happened with no effort, as my bub breastfed for the first time. Exactly as the midwife said it would, if I was relaxed. No complications during or after at all. Do what feels right for you :)
