For the last 3 yrs I have had nothing but issues with one of my sister in laws. She is very verbally abusive towards me & is extremely paranoid! I get emails & text messages from her when I'm home alone with my children saying " I know you're talking about me..." Why do you hate me? I know you're trying to turn everyone against me.... You caused me to have a miscarriage!
I have said & done nothing to her, I'm always really nice to her & invite her to every function We have. I've told her there's no issue but I'm still copping it. I don't have an issue with her & never have! I hate conflict & fighting & even if I have an issue with someone I will always be nice to them. A couple of family members think it could be mental illness or drugs??
She and her partner have always struggled, the whole family has given them thousands of dollars as well as groceries etc but they are still in the same position even though they both have full time employment. I have no idea what to do :( she has been in a fight before & called her partner & they confronted a 80 yr old lady for a fight & I'm worried she'll try & do the same to me.

Sorry I don't really have any advice...but I can say from experience that it sounds like effects from drug use. Not much you can do to change how she thinks of you as the paranoia has no basis. Stay safe
It could be mental illness, drugs or a combo of both. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it to change her behaviour as it's irrational behaviour and paranoid.
I would be distancing yourself from her, her family needs to tell her to get help or she won't be around them anymore. I'd get advice from the police and what justifies a restraining order.
Sounds like the kind of shit that goes through my head when my bipolar is playing up.. Hopefully someone encourages her to get help
