How do other mums deal with mummy guilt vs work guilt? I have 2 children a nearly 6yr old dd and a 2yr old ds, since moving out to a small country town my ds has had hand foot and mouth, asthma and they usually colds, my dd has developed a bad cough this week to the stage that I've decided that she has to see a dr today, kept her home from school yesterday so no work for mummy yesterday had a call from the boss yesterday afternoon seeing if I was coming to work today and said yes but since getting up this morning she has been coughing nearly non stop so I called up and apologised for not coming I mean while ds is saying she wants to go to school and mummy doesn't want her to learn and I feel guilty that she's not going to go today and then I feel guilty that I'm letting work down on a Friday

Should add that out of all of the staff I am one of 2 staff members that is a mum the others either in their early 20s or are about my age that don't have children. Either way I feel like I'm letting down either team be it my family or my work. Sorry if it sounds all jumbled
It's tough and a juggling act for sure. For today I'd do some school work at home :) it's great that your daughter wants to go to school and that is nothing to feel guilty for!
As far as work goes it is hard, I used to apologise to my colleagues for having a day off. I tried to mix up my child's sick days by sending him to grandmas.
