Mummas with or had PID?

Mummas with or had PID?

I just want a little piece of mind. Has anyone had PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) and hasn't had any future problems with infertility? I've been tested for it just waiting for results and been told it is most likely what I have due to symptoms. I'm stressing out as we were panning to try for baby number 2 in a couple of months and now everything might change. Any advice would be appreciated for this worried Mumma.
Thanks in advance

Hi there IM,
I was diagnosed with PID at 16 and was told I would never be able to have children, therefore stopped using contraception (in a committed relationship so STI's were not a concern). Well, found out i was pregnant at 17, had a healthy pregnancy and now have a healthy three year old. it was roughly 8 months between the ceasing of contraception and diagnoses to finding out i was pregnant. I was re-tested for PID due to the fact that i did have a child when told i couldn't and results were still indicative of PID. I then went on to experience a miscarriage and also have a termination (both conceptions after the birth of my daughter were while using condoms) . So, all up three pregnancies after being told I had PID and was infertile, two of which i was using protection to prevent.
Obviously everyone has different experiences but i just wanted to let you know that it may well be possible for you to go on and have children even if you are diagnosed with PID
wishing you all the best IM :)
