Need advice on how to transition my 5 month old to cot from bassinet. He loves the security of the bassinet but has outgrown it. He screams as soon as he is in cot for hours. He has started rolling around also, so that is not helping. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

try one of those hammock type beds I know of mums who swear by them.
Try putting some cot bumpers around the cot so he feels more secure :)
He has one of those air wrap bumpers on cot and sleeps in a gro bag..
It is that age where they have so much running through their head and really would rather be out practicing! You don't happen to have a woven wrap do you? You can tie them into the cot as if they are a hammock, give him his day time naps in it and eventually lower it to the cot.
Wear a shirt to bed for a couple of nights in a row and give that to him to sleep with.
I gave up on cots and co sleep.
My sister gave me the best advice for rolling over babies. I rolled up towels and put them under the fitted sheet on either side and it stopped my baby from rolling over :)
