Hi ladies, just wondering what your tips are for coping/relieving migraines during pregnancy? At 11 weeks pregnant, I do drink PLENTY of water... what else can I do? My Doctor and pregnancy books say that I should not take any painkillers for it.
Help!

You can take some panadol if you need to. It's safe during pregnancy.
Hmm Doctor says no to painkillers (not just Nurofen, but also Panadol - I asked)... but what else can I do?
I wonder why they have said no to Panadol? Do you have any underlying conditions that mean you shouldn't take it during pregnancy? I have used Panadol throughout all three of my pregnancies and that was under instruction from the doctor. Hope the migraines ease for you x
I suffer from migraines and whe I got one while I was pregnant I took Panadol / paracetamol as it is the only safe pain killer to take while pregnant
I was in hospital with a fever for a week while pregnant. They had me on panadol every 6 hours. Docs said it is completely fine. Id see another doctor.
How about seeing an Osteo perhaps they could help?
Also have you pinpointed the trigger of your migraines? Once you know the cause it can be avoided!
I had major headaches for the first few months of pregnancy, I used panadol and weirdly enough, coffee every couple of weeks as the caffine constricts the blood vessels in the brain. please be careful with caffeine though as there is a reccomended maximum amount per day and if you have high blood pressure I would avoid it all together.
You could try a chiropractor or oseopath as your body may be out of whack or even massage as pain relief (please tell the masseuse that you are pregnant as there are areas/ pressure points that can bring on labour).
Reposted on the facebook wall too and I hope it helps. x
