medical help

Sorry but this is a long post and I don't know where to go or what to do. About 10 weeks ago this all started. I have been In two different hospitals for a few days each. I am in pain all the time, the pain is much similar to that of labour pain the pressure feeling. it's worse when I eat, I have lost about 5kgs at least I now weigh 50kgs n I'm 6ft 4. I've had ultrasounds, colonoscopy, and a ct scan. I can't get into see a dietitian till the 1st of May, been reffered to a gynaecologist who's first appt is 21st July, and been reffered to a surgeon who I can't get into till the 16th of May. I am finding very hard both physically and mentally to look after my child when I'm in this much pain. I feel awful now because it's school holidays and I just don't have the energy to do much just going up stairs is exhausting. I do take her out when I'm feeling up to it. My medical history is this : asthma, epilepsy, possibly ms (they're not sure but my mum has it, n I have had an abnormal MRI). My question is this anyone experience anything like this or know what the hell this could be. I have also had a period for the entire time, had implanon taken out but it hasn't made a difference. I also forgot to add that with in half an hour of eating I have too use the loo (poo) so I'm not eating much.

If you have possible ms and your mum has ms, then you have a greater risk of developing an/another autoimmune disease. I have graves disease (an autoimmune thyroid disease) which caused me lose weight rapidly, I had heart palpitations, was breathless all the time, anxious, irritable, I had a goiter and a very common symptom is cramping and frequent bowel movements.....so if I were you I'd be asking your GP to test you for graves disease or any other autoimmune disease. Hope this helps xx

Sounds like a difficult time for you. I hope you have family or friends who can help with your daughter. I'm a sole parent and looking after kids when I'm really sick is so tough. I just wanted to say I hope you find answers soon. I wouldn't hazard a guess or suggestion.

Oh that must be terrible being so ill and having to care for a child.
Regarding your health go get second opinions, and referrals to other specialists. Or go back to your referring Dr and while you are there get them to call each specialist and explain that you need to be seen asap, that's what my Dr has done for me when the specialists receptionist was being less than understanding. Also see if you can get on their cancellation lists if that is an option!
Just do the best you can with your child xxxxx

While you're waiting for all the specialist appointments I'd go on an elimination diet. It's worked absolute wonders for me in the past and taken the pressure completely off the digestive system.
