How many bottles should my 16 month old be having? Our little boy has a small bottle when he wakes up (100mls) and breaky, a bottle before his morning nap (200mls), then lunch at 12 then another bottle before his after noon nap (200mls), then dinner and a bottle before his sleep at night(200mls). PLUS he always wants a bottle sometime through the day and even when I try so hard to offer so many different foods and distract him, he only wants a bottle, and will have a tantrum for a good hour till he gets it, and if he wakes through the night he wants a bottle! What should I do? Is that way to many? On the other hand, if we are out and about and can keep him distracted enough he will just have bottles before naps. Thanks
Btw he does eat pretty well, some days he refuses everything but most of the time he is happy with what ever is in front of him.

I have an 18mth old and from about 15mths I started giving his milk in a sippy cup. He only has milk at morning tea and afternoon tea ( as well as food/fruit) and has done since about 16mths. All babies are different I think my fellow just isn't a milky kid!
I think that its way too many bottles... Maybe try cutting one out at time
My son was having the same around that age. I felt so much guilt over it and stressed because he wouldn't take milk from a sippy cup. He's now 2 and half and happily drinks from a sippy.
Don't stress yourself!! If you've tried and it didn't work then leave it a while and try again. Kids age differently, at the end of the day its not hurting him or you and he'll stop when he's ready. I'd keep trying occasionally to swap even just one to start but you know your son best and aslong as he's eating normally then its fine.
With my son I started moving bottle time till just after meals so he would be full already and wouldn't want it which seemed to work well. He'd still cry occasionally at bedtime but if offer him grapes or something else to fill his belly until he was happy to go to bed with just water
