With my first born the placenta didn't detach after birth. They gave a pull on the cord and it broke off inside from the placenta. I was transported to a close hospital and put under and the placenta manually removed. Second pregnancy 2 and a half years later I delivered twins naturally and then delivered placenta no problems or complications but that's just my story :)
