Lactose intolerance and breast feeding

I have just restarted breast feeding my 3 week old girl and I've noticed after feeding, she screams like she's in pain. She did this before when on normal formula so we put her on lactose free and she was fine. I'm lactose intolerant so I'm thinking maybe she is too. Has anyone else's baby been unable to take breast milk due to a similar reason?

I was lactose intolerant as a child, and still can't have much without getting sick. So when I had my bub last year in the first few weeks (I was having cows milk in tea and little bits of cheese) and was breast feeding she was getting very pukey and windy. Mum suggested I change my diet to completely lactose free (which had helped her with my brother) and within a few days of me doing this, my bub was heaps better. Infants Friend drops also helped. Good luck!
