Hi Ladies
i want to guage some interest for an idea ive had
how many of you would be interested in going to a childrens mini bootcamp?
I was thinking at aiming the starting age at 3 as i know there is a gap in things available for kids when it comes to structured fitness ideas.
if it was available in your area would you be interested?
what would you expect from the "instructor"?
would you pay $2-$3 per 30 minute session?
what would be some things you would want and just as importantly not want to see at sessions?
i have my blue card, am thinking about starting studying my cert III in fitness, and have worked as a sporting coach before
this would be very much a see a need fill a need idea and would love advice and feedback
esp if you have done something like this before
Thankyou

My son who is 4 does kickboxing but it's more all over fitness not just the boxing and he absolutely loves it. We were looking everywhere for something to do with him at 3 but couldn't find anything. Your idea sounds great!!!
We pay $10 per 30min lesson and have no problem with that. His instructor only ever has a maximum 5 in class so they get the one on one attention which I thinks important too.
Good luck!!
just wondering what qualifications your sons instructor has? what would you expect an instructor to have? or would you be happy with having an instructor who has knowledge on fun fitness activities?
My sons instructer is a former professional kickboxing and mma fighter. But that wasn't important to me. I would be just as happy with an unqualified teacher, the main thing at this age is having fun and doing some exercise to tire them out :-)
I would think carefully about the term boot camp. Maybe it's just me but I would be unlikely to enrol my child on anything with military connotations or hard core fitness connotations. Have a look at Can Do 4 kids I think they do something similar to what you want to do.
oh yea this was just to give readers an idea of the overall fitness type thing i meant
nothing hardcore at all haha
I'd rather a mums and bubs boot camp. Mums like getting fit and watchibg their kids be happy and Having fun with them
Some do, some are looking for a class for their kids that they don't have to be active in so thEy can have a break!
So true. I have my training times and want to sit and watch my son and enjoy him learning and having fun
Yes definitely, if it was called active hour or flexercise with a. Focus on being active or coordination or with music and fun I guess that's why boot camp Puts me off. But Yes love the idea.
