Just a quick question about breast feeding your second baby and weight loss experiences with subsequent children.

Just a quick question about breast feeding your second baby and weight loss experiences with subsequent children.

Just wondering what your experiences were like with breast feeding your second child and if it was any different from the first. My son was born 41 weeks and he was hungry! He latched like a pro and other than a few blocked ducts (which hurt like hell) we had no issues, and I believe this is how I lost the majority of my baby weight. I absolutely loved breast feeding and would like to think it would be likely I have the same experience again.

I'm mainly wondering if anyone had a good experience with their first but not so good with their second and what it was like to loose baby weight with the second and how much you feel breast feeding helped in comparison to your first.

Thanks heaps ladies.

Lost weight quicker with my 2nd (didn't ever really lose it with my 1st, breastfed her for over 2 years and breastfeeding simply made me hungry!). I think the weight loss was also to do with being so busy with a nearly 3yo and a newborn. And I have a different attitude to food now too - much healthier now. Both babies were great breastfeeders right from the start. I'm struggling to get the youngest to stop BF now at nearly 3, but that's entirely another issue!
